honestly the mask is fine now, in working themes it just needs a minor amount of refinements to maybe be a bit smoother on taller textures imo, but I'd need to figure out the math for that first to really get the size-texture ratio I'm suggesting for. heck, @AwesomeBruni🐧

I guess if anything I envision a slightly longer gradient, if the image is tall enough and if the image is TOO tall, the gradient caps at aforementioned height and goes down with the image (edited)
