The ampersand characters are stripped from content

Please note that additional characters are being stripped out as well, 
including apostrophes, ampersands, and quotation marks. HTML entity name/number 
replacements for these characters are also stripped.

Single and double quote marks, in particular, are not showing on my Digress.it 
page. This is a problem bc some of my text is vernacular quotes from ex-slaves 
and I need the punctuation so the dialect is readable. It shows on the edit 
screen and when you hover over something on the TOC, but in the actual posts 
the punctuation is gone. What can I do?

i'm noticing the disappearance of apostrophe's on some of my pages as well.  
Not all of them, which is a little odd.  bummer....
