Table doesn't like empty cells/cells containing only white space #37

If a table cell is empty:
<td></td>
or contains only white space:
<td> </td>
the cell appears to be ignored, which is particularly noticeable if <table 
border='1'>
A 1px Image or . hack:
<td>.</td>
is required to force the cell to be rendered.
