digress.it interferes with the wp-footnotes plugin

I know we looked at this and that by changing the priority of the plugin from 
10 to 1, we thought that we'd fixed the problem of footnotes not displaying, 
but there's still a problem. WHen switching to priority of 1, the first 
footnote 
will always appear, but there seems to be no guarantee of any further 
footnotes being displayed. Sometimes that are, but most often, they are note. 
I've looked at this very carefully and can't find any reason for the varying 
results from the plugin, although with digress.it turned off, it works fine.

I think it's worth trying to fix this as it's a plugin that compliments 
digress.it 
very well. WIthout it, footnotes are difficult to distinguish from the main 
body 
of text.
