Upgrading from 2.3.2 on a sub-directory (not sub-domain) site #72

I've just upgraded one of WriteToReply's old sites:

http://writetoreply.org/kindlelicense/

I'll post issues under this thread that relate to upgrades and sub-dir
problems. Have a click around and see for yourself.

Tag pages could better styled:

Too much white space.

Non-logged in users are not displaying as per new installs:
http://writetoreply.org/kindlelicense/comments-by-user/

Can't comment on last paragraph as per new installs:
http://writetoreply.org/kindlelicense/2009/08/04/digital-content/

Sidebar is present on Home Page with widgets from previous version of site:
http://writetoreply.org/kindlelicense/

but sidebar is empty on posts:
http://writetoreply.org/kindlelicense/2009/08/04/digital-content/

(I still don't understand how to get the home page sidebar working on new
installs)

The above issues have been resolved. However, there seems to be a different in
the display of tagline on http://writetoreply.org/kindlelicense/ and
http://b3ta.jiscpress.org/

The tagline on the subdomain install is not correctly aligned. It's fine on the
subdirectory install.

Slick here:
http://writetoreply.org/kindlelicense/2009/08/04/digital-content/#comment-23-13

I just added tag cloud and links widgets and they don't show in the sidebar but
can be seen in the body content. They are in the 'single post' widget block and
should appear below the list post with comment count widget.

The problem remains with widgets appearing in the post body

http://b3ta.jiscpress.org/nullizzle-shizzlin-dizzle-crazy/

These widgets are set to display in the single post sidebar.

Also, the tagline on sub-domain installs is still poorly placed

http://b3ta.jiscpress.org/ It needs to shift to the right.

The sidebar problem remains in r112. I see that by default it now includes the
List Posts widget. When I add the Live Search widget to the Single Content
sidebar, I expect it to remove the default widget (as per normal WordPress) and
replace it with the search widget. However, the search widget appears at the
bottom of the content body and the List Posts widget remains in place.

You're putting the widget in the wrong spot.

There is:

Single Sidebar - adding widget here overrides default sidebar
Single Content - adding widget here adds it to the bottom of the post content
