BuddyPress admin bar and scroll bar #78

Two issues:

1. When logged into a digressit BuddyPress site, the home and post pages do not 
show the BuddyPress admin bar (they should) but clicking on the Comments by 
Section, User and General Comments links, shows the admin bar and repositions 
the page making it jump.

2. There is a permanent vertical scroll bar on all pages of digress.it, along 
side the normal browser scroll bar. Image attached. Might this also be related 
to BuddyPress? 

On non-BuddyPress digressit site, neither of these problems exist.

I'm unable to test digress.it because of this bug:

just noticed that on r158, the buddypress admin bar overlaps the digress.it 
header. see attached image.

The first issue above has gone. The second, where the admin bar overlaps, is 
still there.

Hmmm. I'm not able to see the sidebar (tested in Firefox) and there's a search 
box stuck in the top left of the screen (r183):
