Nice that htpdate is being used, although this fork has some issues IMHO.
The port is not detected correctly anymore since "http(s)://" is being allowed...

Eddy here, the author of the original htpdate. I would not say that htpdate is unmaintained... only evolves at a very slow pace :)
My version (https://github.com/twekkel/htpdate) includes several other fixes fixes... so you might want to sync up.
