Hosted Google accounts don't work

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Have hosted google account (google.com/a/tcd.ie) as main account on phone
2. Go to send link
3. GMail addresses only accepted

Also, device unable to register @tcd address in chrometophone APK.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Option to input my @tcd.ie address. Gmail only.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Froyo FRF50

Please provide any additional information below.
I have my GMail account linked and it works, but my @tcd is my primary
account and there seems to be a general lack of support for hosted accounts
in Android.
