Wake up phone/Turn on Screen on receiving something from chrometophone

Please answer the questions about build version and network, will save
developers a lot of time !

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Send anything from chrome to phone

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the android, in Settings -> About phone -> Build number (
ex. FRFxx ) ? If less than FRF50 - see the FAQ.

Is the phone using WiFi or mobile network when problem occurs ? If Wifi,
are you behind a firewall that blocks outgoing connections ?

Can you open "Gmail" application ? Do you see new messages without hitting
'refresh' ?

Can you open "Talk" application ? Do you see incoming chats ?

Please provide any additional information below.
When the phone receives the message/command from chrome2phone, it plays the 
notification tone and starts executing the app (e.g. browser) as well, but it 
doesn't turn on the screen. Can this be changed (maybe for tasks like opening a 
browser etc), or maybe provide an option for the same?

same here. with phone a sleep (screen off) i get the push notification sound 
but the phone doesn't wake. if i wake the phone no notification is visible and 
the browser has not opened.
its only when the phone is wake (screen on) that the notification and auto 
browser open and go to the link sent works as intended.
yes i have auto launch checked

obviously we dont want the phone to wake but a notification icon on the 
notiication bar that a C2P is waiting to be opened otherwise you dont know what 
the notification sound was for!
