I also think that we should be collecting users personal information during the beta phase of the program. I see where you are going with potentially, one day, being able to predict insulin perfectly. I think it would be beneficial to have a questionaire on the intro that could ask people things, so as to get a baseline for the user. Things like:
what type of diabetes do you have?
how long have you been diagnosed with diabetes?
how has it changed through the years?
what has been your history with weight change>
what things have helped with your management of diabetes?
Is your job stressful?
Is your life stressful?
Do you eat regularily?
How often do you eat bad food?
How does bad food effect you?
Do you exercise?
What forms of exercise do you do and their frequency?
What are your eating habits?
Do you normally eat breakfast?
If you eat breakfast, do you normally eat the same thing, or does it vary a lot?
Do you normally eat lunch? if so... do you normally have the same thing?
How many times a week do you eat a different lunch than your normal lunch?
When do you normally eat dinner... how much do you normally eat... does it vary a lot?
What time do you normally go to bed?
What time do you normally get up?
Do you have a family, or are you single?
Is your life fairly routine as far as food intake, exercise, insulin intake, glucose readings or is it all over the map?
I could come up with a million other questions, but I think it would be beneficial to have any user answer one or all of these types of questions
