It would be cool if I could enter gaz-laptop instead of my IP address,
using DNS or Netbios to look up the name on the network

I'd love to be able to use my DynDNS hostname to connect to my DMZ machine.

This would be great. I have it in my router to assign an IP address based on mac
address. I can also enter in the NETBIOS name of the box into the router. If
the app
could connect by computer name, that would be great.

Hello,
Here's a simple patch that adds this feature (in fact, nothing is added or
modified - only removed). Comes with a WorksForMe™ guarantee.

How can we apply this patch to the program on our phone?

Check out the code, apply the patch eg. in Eclipse, compile, transfer to phone,
install and replace the older RemoteDroid.
