Preference not to have the library #42

Closed dfabulich closed 2 years ago

When you open Spatterlight, it displays the library screen. But I don't really use/care about the library much. Finder is my "library" of games. (Finder has folders and subfolders, which Spatterlight doesn't have/need.)

I wish there were a preference to make Spatterlight behave more like Quicktime Player, where, when you launch it, it just launches the Open… dialog.

Would it be enough for it to remember whether the library window was open when Spatterlight was last shut down? There is some code there now that makes sure that the library always opens, because I used to have trouble making it show at all on startup.

I think that would be confusing. I'm sure a lot of people close the library after they launch a game.

Also, I think I was imagining this issue as a way to solve the same problem as #40. Having games not appear in the library just because you'd closed the library would be even more confusing.

This is done in 0.8.9, but see issue #46
