Adding Mac compatibility to CMakeLists, and adding a checkpointing path

• Pip installation on Mac systems cMake needs to be told to set the rpath accordingly.
• It is often useful to have a separate directory for checkpoint files to make checkpointing more flexible. A chdir is now added to load/save objects, with the default value of './'.
