Hello, Looking to have a word with you about an hardware improvement and firmware port. Possible rpi4....

Hi,

Always happy to listen to any feedback, improvements, suggestions etc.

This is an open forum so please share your ideas. As you will see from the Readme doc this project originally belongs to Andrei so it is his work and I am simply hosting the source code and all the other files and content together in one place.

It would be great to hear what your thoughts were and any new ideas you might have.

Thanks.

The original developer used a arm board to develop this device but as per his guide master tempo would not workdue to insuficient cpu power. Also RPI4 have RJ45 to try to implement the LINK funcktion.

Im only used arduino for esp and such.... im a bit limited in terms of programing, but maybe we can migrate to a more friendly hardware. Currently use 4x cdj400 via midi to traktor and djm800 as mixer.

Also i thing that the declive part should have the same size of the OEM front... see photo you will understand.

Also if we can use the cues maybe merge that into cdj3000 vision with 8 HC. size i plan Captura de ecrã 2022-11-06, às 14 53 02

Also MP3 FOLDER SEARCH BUTTONS can be asigned to SLEEP and 4B Loop and implement MT in is original location

I would love to see this project built on Raspberry Pi, with added USB and MP3 support and better looping functionality.

I would love to see this project built on Raspberry Pi, with added USB and MP3 support and better looping functionality.

I was looking for someone to point me the right direction on porting the project for a Rpi4. Hardware wise i think would be enough.

I have sort of dreamed to buy the plastic caps for the buttons missing between cdj1000 and cdj2000nsx2 (slip, and such) and use adicional GPIOS to drive those buttons and LEDS. Im trying to make a 2000 clone based on 1000's, and i even found a quite similar touch strip to try to mimic them....

If anyone have a ideia how to port the system between stm32 and a rpi? I've been searching for a AI tool with sort of cross platform in order to try to get all the code that andrei have writen and try to create a few more functions.

Another ideia was to use MIXXX or VDJ and skin it to mimic the cdj2000GUI and use a CDJ1000mk3 just in MIDI but found skining a bit dificult

Any help or ideia would be higly apreciated....
