Adam, on the Samsung Galaxy S3 (tmobile in my case) we all have heard about the
badge counter getting messed up when clicking close instead of quick reply.

I found a fix (along with another bug).

On quick reply if I set the button and choose Delete (No Confirmation), it will
PROPERLY mark the message as read and not mess up the badge counter unlike the
close button.

Unfortunately, it won't delete the message like it is supposed to but it does
act like a perfect close button.

You could release a SMS Popup Samsung Edition by simply renaming the DELETE
button to a CLOSE button. The other half of the work could be simply looking
for another method of deleting the text messages for a real delete button.

I take it back. I was sending messages to myself to check this out and realize
that the messages WERE being deleted.

I got confused because I was supposed to see duplicates when I sent messages to
myself, but when I was seeing only one, I didn't realize it and thought it
wasn't deleted..

Sorry for wasting your time. Please delete this thread :/
