please make status window font size configurable #835

What change would like to see?
The editor font can be customised with the preferences, but it would
be good if the font size of the status window were customisable as
well.

Why?
With complex error messages, I find it much easier if I can
stare at the screen and spend time solving the problem, rather than
deciphering pixels.

Would this cause any incompatibilities with previous versions?  If so, how
can these be mitigated?
