UI Annoyance / Suggestion (Dev Button #79

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open FireReplace Options Dialog
2. Scroll Down the list
3. Click on correct entry in Substitution List
4. Click edit
5. Change to the Substitution Tab
6. Scroll Down yet another list (there both named Substitution List 0-0)
7. Click on the proper entry in THIS Substitution List
8. Click Edit
9. Make yet another minor incremental edit.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
NA

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
FoxReplace 0.12.2
FireFox 3.6.28
XP Sp3

Please provide any additional information below.
When developing a new FireReplace Replacement, its a constant building process
of small edits to get to the final structure. Each incremental change/test
cycle is a lot of clicks.

So I'm suggesting a "Dev" button on the main Options Dialog. That when pressed
takes you from Step 1. directly to step 9. picking the entries that were LAST
picked. So when developing that entry each change is quick.

The intent is to assist in Development, so the LAST picked entry does not need
to persist long-term only during the current session (not remembered in a file)

The UI has a lot of room for improvement, but I don't like your idea of the
"dev button". I think that there must be a better solution. I'll leave the
issue open to keep track of this use case, but I want to think of a better UI.
