Memory saver is designed to suspend tabs that aren't in use after a certain amount of time. This is a Chrome feature and I don't think the developer(s) can do anything to change that.
You can set Chrome to keep the app active by going into Settings > Performance, then clicking the "Add" button next to "Always keep these sites active".
Steps to reproduce:
Additional data: My chrome is using memory saving mode, so maybe that pauses the tabs that are minimized in a tab group. Hopefully this can be fixed. Thanks!
