cant view through new perspective camera #18

I created a new camera to create a looping animation. All worked fine, saved a version. When I reload the shot, I can see the camera is still there, but it's not available in the view menu.

We were not aware of this. Thanks for spotting this! Made a fix which we're going to release later today.

Note that this fix will only work on new scenes created with the fix. Let me know if you need to fix applied to your current scene.

This has been release now. Please confirm this is working as you expect. Thanks!

news scenes or new shots? i tried a new shot, still didn't work:

and yeah, if its an easy fix to apply to my jumping cubes shot, that'd be great! latest one is probably best:

It should have worked in both cases. Well, we'll release a patch this evening which will correct this problem. This solution will work on all scenes which were created before the "fix" was released.

We just released a patch for this. When you open your scene, go to the view menu, at the bottom of that menu you'll find the element called camera patch #18 (referring to this issue). Press it. This will re-init the camera list for the layout. No we need to re-init the panel. We can do that by changing the layout to single. This will now use the updated camera list. When we now go to change the camera the previously missing one now appears.

Love the little loop btw, very nice! Thank you!

One of the next steps will also be to actually save out the layout settings (so we remember which camera was showing) as currently every time we open a scene it just builds the default configuration. We'll get there!

cool, can see that i can load the cameras again from a new single viewport, nice.
