Would it be possible to load multiple subtitles at once? #18

One of the really useful features of language learning with netflix is the fact that you can refer to the english subs when you want to make sure you understand something. it's blurred out underneath the japanese subs. what could be a cool feature would be to just have the primary japanese subs running normally like it already does, but just have the english subs running in the background. maybe you could have a hotkey to reveal the current english subtitle if you need to refer to it to either make sense of something or make sure you understand what they are saying.

it would also be safe to assume that this "second" subtitle file will be completely accurate and wouldn't require any modifications, since it's presumably extracted from the video source that you are using, so it could be entirely separate from all of the retiming, exporting, seeking etc logic to make things more simple.

or maybe just a way to toggle between multiple subtitles would be a more simple thing to implement, like how you can do with audio already. and maybe supporting internal subs along with the external ones that are already supported.

I second this just to have the ability to swap subs and also add to anki would be nice assuming it can be done
