Hi Anisha! My name is Sam Blake. I am a fellow Bard Alum (Class of 2011) and am currently applying to the Flatiron Fellowship. I saw your blog and thought I'd say hello. I was hoping you might be able to tell me a bit more about your experience so far and if you had any advice on the admissions process. I have my second interview today with either Blake or Ashley and we'll be going over the Tic-tac-toe game I built. A bit more about myself: I was a History & Philosophy of Science Major at Bard but I took a few classes with Mary Krembs, who you may know. I've been working at a startup in LA since I graduated but recently moved back to NYC. You can email me @ samuelmorganblake@gmail, or use Github if you'd prefer. Thanks! And good luck with the rest of the semester! I hope you're having fun!

Hi Sam!

I'm glad you took the time to get in touch with me. I'm in the middle of classes, so this email is going to be a bit short. I'm really sorry about that. :/

Congrats btw on getting a second interview! I can't give much advice on the interview, but the most important thing is NOT the code, but your way of articulating what you wrote and how you can make it better. The code doesn't have to be the the best but as long as you can talk about it, you should be in good shape.

If you have any other specific questions, let me know and good luck with the interview! Blake and Ashley are awesome. =]

Hi Anisha,

Thanks for the taking the time to respond to me! I really appreciate it.

I just had my interview with Blake and I think it actually went okay. Your advice ended up being very helpful!

At any rate, good luck with the rest of the semester and beyond!
