Capturing click events? #532

I am looking at issue #463 in which it appears that shazam1453 is getting an event (in his code at the bottom of the issue), but I cannot figure out HOW he is getting an event and how to capture it. This does not appear to be documented anywhere that I can find.

Is there a guide somewhere on how to do this?
