Due to tons of changes more translation is necessary.

The translation page (http://crowdin.net/project/ankidroid) suggests that the work
is already done for a lot of languages.

Because translation is a work also non-developers can do the crowdin-page should be
updated to reflect the recent developement status.

This may have been asked before (by me even) but who updates the crowdin files normally?

Do you mean in Crowdin or who puts the files from Crowdin into the project?

The first is normally done by casual translators and the last can be done by any of
us. Inside the AnkiDroid project there is a python script to update the strings.xml
but I have not tried before.

Kostas, if you meant who is updating the master English file that is used by Crowdin:
last time it was Diogo.

I updated the master file on crowdin (removed obsolete strings) and upgraded the python
script.

To implement new translations, just execute "tools/update-localization.py".

One thing left (not really necessary): crowdin does not remove already translated foreign
language phrases when they are removed in the master file.

Hi there,

while we are talking about translations, I have only one little feature request - would
it be possible to implement manual setting of the language?
I've just found out, that the latest experimental version is translated in Czech (which
is generally nice for many of the Czech users), but I would prefer to stick with the
original, and somehow "more compact" English version, without switching the language
of my entire OS :)

Just an idea, if it's complicated, don't bother with it; I can live with my phone UI
in English.. :))

Thanks,
Martin

Hello he29.HS,
Could you add this as a new feature request? Just create a new issue?
Thanks for your feedback!
Nicolas
