[BUG]: "x cards shown" doesn't appear for every search #14956

Checked for duplicates?

What are the steps to reproduce this bug?

  1. Open browser
  2. Make a search that gives at least one card as result
  3. Try a different search until the problem appears (less than 10 tries needed)

Expected behaviour

The popup "x cards shown" should appear every time.

Actual behaviour

Sometimes it does not appear. But if the search is repeated, it seems to always show after. However, if it is repeated after that again, it sometimes disappears again.
