[BUG]: Cannot Change Sort Field

What are the steps to reproduce this bug?

Manage Note Types —> Select a note type —> Try setting a different field as sort field

Expected behaviour

sort field changes

Actual behaviour

nothing happens. usually it would show "processing..." but even that is not shown
