Sync fail Error 501 Not implemented in new alpha version

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Attempting to sync from ankdroid alpha vers. 22

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I would like to see my decks sync. Instead i get sync failing error 501 not implemented

Does it happen again every time you repeat the steps above? Or did it
happen only one time? Happens every time.

What version of AnkiDroid are you using? (Decks list > menu > About > Look
at the title)
On what version of Android? (Home screen > menu > About phone > Android
version)
 version 22 alpha

If it is a crash or "Force close" and you can reproduce it, the following
would help immensely: 1) Install the "SendLog" app, 2) Reproduce the crash,
3) Immediately after, launch SendLog, 4) Attach the resulting file to this
report. That will make the bug much easier to fix.

Please provide any additional information below.

Just upgraded both the alpha version and the new anki beta 4 version. I was already
having trouble with syncing from ankidroid prior to updating either, and often it would
simply be in the middle of syncing and crash. I already submitted the error log code
for that instance before. Also, I'm positive it's not the updated beta version of full
Anki because I updated ankidroid prior to updating Anki and that is when the problem
first started. I had hoped updating Anki might solve the issue.

Also, on a side not, the Night mode does not work anymore either.

Yeah, I'm inclined to agree. Though I'm curious am I the only one having this issue?
Still happens with v23 alpha.

Hmmm, fixed in a way but still no go. So no longer the sync 501 error so thats good.
Still doesn't sync though, instead program just crashes.

No problem. I'm actually trying to teach myself some Java programming so that I can
help with this project, though it might be a while. But yeah, new issue and log, no
problem
