Description
Project Goal: To improve the user experience of the ticket booking website by simplifying the booking process and providing more informative options.
Key Areas of Focus:
Date and Time Selection:
Dynamic Date Range: Restrict the date selection to the current year and future dates. Real-time Train/Bus Information: Integrate with external APIs (e.g., IRCTC, Goibibo) to fetch real-time train or bus schedules and populate the date and time fields accordingly. Passenger Information:
Passenger Details: Allow users to enter passenger information (name, age, gender) directly on the booking page. Multiple Passengers: Provide an option to add multiple passengers with ease. Ticket Type and Class:
Clear and Informative Options: Display a clear list of ticket types (e.g., AC, Sleeper, General) and classes (e.g., First Class, Second Class) with descriptions. Payment Gateway Integration:
Secure Payment Options: Integrate with reliable payment gateways to ensure secure transactions. Multiple Payment Methods: Offer various payment options (e.g., credit/debit cards, net banking, UPI) to cater to different preferences. Booking Confirmation and E-Ticket:
Instant Confirmation: Provide instant booking confirmation with an e-ticket sent to the user's email. Cancellation and Refund Policies: Clearly communicate cancellation and refund policies. Explanation:
By implementing these changes, the ticket booking process will become more intuitive and user-friendly. Users will have access to accurate and up-to-date information, making it easier to find suitable trains or buses and complete their bookings efficiently. Additionally, the integration of external APIs will enhance the overall functionality and reliability of the website.
