Check that when used in French or German problems don't arise because of
commas representing the decimal place.  This is probably just a case of
enforcing en-GB formatting when saving and loading XML files.

Parameter strings separated by commas and saved within xml files are now forced 
to
save and load in en-GB format, with a '.' character representing the decimal 
place.
