I'd love if there were an option to make the GUI work more like the new 
Quicktime where only the video is shown and then the controls are revealed on 
hover-over.

Yeah, I agree. We need this feature. When you have only de video without other 
stuff on screen, you can pay more attention. Maybe it's not so hard to make.
