Mastercraft will get stuck if the macro being used calls for an action that cannot be used at that moment (such as putting Tricks of the Trade before Great Strides in case you get an excellent condition to protect Byregot's). I think the better way (at least for Tricks) would be to simply skip that action and continue onward with the rest of the macro.
