I'm unsure what's causing it, and it may be related to other plugins that print to chat or colour chat or whatever, but sometimes when a message is printed in the chat, it causes the text to start skipping or bouncing.
The text during this is completely unreadable, and the issue is only resolved when more text is printed to chat.
