Our day rate of 274 per day is mostly the salary of a Grade 7.x RSE along with a little bit of admin time and management oversight.

The full economic cost for an RA for 1 year is around £103k – our model is around £60k as it is direct cost only and there is no overhead as it’s an ‘other direct cost’ not a personnel cost.

This should be easy to justify if we can evidence extensive deliverables arising from the investment.

Do you need more details as to how we get to the 274 per day figure?

Yes please. We don't need masses of text -- I just need to convince a reviewer that we haven't picked any old number.
