Ashley I like you UI colors! I think it works well with the use of emoticons. I wish that I could see the messages from specific people. If I were to use this, I am not sure that I would be interested in seeing the messages from people that I don’t know.

Michael I like how the user’s mood is the location marker. It gives a viewer an idea of what the person is feeling without having to open up a marker to see how they feel. I wish the icons and functionality of the “action” hotkeys were larger and easier to see. How would these interactions be handled?

Scott I like how users can express their feelings on a map level. It could be like a more interactive and real-time version of facebook.
I wish there was a feature where you could zoom out and find out what the most prevalent feeling is. I think that adding this feature could make it more possible for this to be used as research.

Tina I like seeing the emoji as the markers! Though, I think from faraway, some emoji could look rather similar to each other. Maybe emoji can be more distinguishable from each other by having each of them with a different base color. I wish I could see what the interface for the other linked icons on the status are like (group/profile?, call?, message?). I am particularly interested in what the call interface would look like.

Team A8:

Karthik: I really liked the app and the addition of adding a post filtered chat was really cool. I also like how after the user posts an emoji, within that post, a way to contact them is also listed. This allows for more interaction and could increase longevity within the app. Over all I really liked it on the basis that it helps people communicate more. My only suggestion would be to have a way for people to private chat with a specific person. This could lead to more intimate conversations and also make the app more engaging.

Danny Dang: I like that the app is a way to help people communicate and connect with each other. It also keeps it anonymous which is good and its a good way to kill time when you want to talk to someone. I wish that it integrated geo stuff better because it doesn't really seem like it really incorporates it. I'm not sure if geo location really even matters. Maybe have a potential meet up option? But that may defeat the purpose of anonymous emoji pins.

Robert Ferng: I like the use of emojis as pins which let the users quickly express their mood at a specific location. I wish that users can include pictures in their posts. Chat Conversation End

Hon Lao: I like the interactivity of the application that brings students together. I wish that the applications core functions would better reflect the theme of using maps as the main feature. I feel that this app could be similarly implemented without the maps purely based on proximity

Jimmy: I like the idea looks really nice, reminds me of YikYak but for feelings. I like that you are able to choose your own emoji and add the description. One thing that would be nice to implement is allowing the user to be able to remove or choose the time that they want their post to be on the map. Also, It would be nice if users could be able to comment in the map posts so they are able to interact with anyone anonymously. Also if users don’t want to share their current location it would be nice to have a way for them to post themselves general area of the map too (ex: UCSD or UTC).

Jason: I like the concept behind this app, especially since Yik Yak was terminated. It seems like an even more location-based version of Yik Yak, since you can actually see the location of different posts on the map. I also like the use of different emojis to categorize each post to make it easy for users to quickly scan through the posts. I wish there was a feature to add friends/connections, as this app also reminds me a bit of Snapchat. I can see users wanting to be able to notify or receive notifications when their friends post something. That being said, I do think the anonymity is important, so that is also an option you should keep. Also, is there a button you can click to recenter and zoom in on the user’s location? If not, I would add one in, because users can easily get off-center if they are exploring other parts of the map. I also wish there was an option to adjust the location of your post (within reasonable limits), sort of like being able to adjust your pin location in Uber, because their location will not always be accurate.

Tiffany: I like that this is a platform where you can meet strangers based upon mood. I like the different mood emojis, timestamp, name and then the status. I like the new “post” I wish that there was a way to add people as friends (mutually) so that you can remember different people. I wish that the emoji that marks your location will update as you move around. I wish the time limit that the marker would stay on the map would be determined by the user (so they can choose however long to stay on the map). For the cluttering of the application, maybe have them clustered together until you zoom in enough. Maybe have just the road map so that it looks more clean

Stephanie: I like the emojis and how current it is and how it appeals to the users. I think one of the main concerns I have is security, and having that many people's locations available to anyone. Because you may not have to meet up, maybe making the location more general vs accurate would be safer. If not that maybe having the option to only be seen by your friends? Rather than check in on strangers, you could check in how your friends were feeling, and you would feel more comfortable talking to them and meeting up. It would be similar to find my friends but not limited to iphone and not having to get permission from each person, and you could be there to support you friends, or see who is free to hang out. An example of that could be a smiley emoji that one would label “just finished my midterm, anyone want to have lunch? :) “. Also maybe restricting each user to only have one post up at a time (that they can update) would be useful to prevent spam. This could also be useful for if you're walking alone at night and need a walking buddy, or just want to be reassured that your friends can watch where you are going until you get home. I really like the icons that show what means of communication they like, and hope that might connect to real actions in the future (actually being able to call them, as long as the number wasn't revealed to the user to strangers, maybe an in app call rather than phone call)
