I think it depends on your video, as you can see in the example I've posted, it
does
not have it. You also don't mention what version you are using, so that might
affect it.

Hi, I am using 0.9.3 in Arch Linux. I tested with another file and in white
backgrounds I can see that same black border, which is a little strange.
Could it be from my video drivers? (Intel 2.4.1)

Well you might try 0.9.4 and you also my try different vo's like x11, xv or gl.
Those
may affect that border.

I made a slight change to the resize code today when working with videos that
report
one size in the header and report another size when played, so this may help
you.
This change is in SVN.
