- What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Open and play a video with gnome-mplayer.
2. Put the video to pause.
3. In gnome-mplayer, click on the volume icon and change the level with the
bar.

- What is the expected output?

Nothing. No sound and no video playing.

- What do you see instead?

Each time I change the bar level, I hear about half a second of the audio's
file.

- What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

gnome-mplayer 0.9.4, Gnome 2.26.1, Ubuntu 9.04.

This is a bug in mplayer, you needed a newer version. Newer versions of mplayer
support the mplayer slave command "pausing_keep_force", older versions do not. I
believe this command was added to mplayer in Nov of 2008.
