Ugly playlist #224

There is somethin like this for streams in playlist
"Stream for
http://rest/of/url/some/long/text/artist/album/Some-very-cool-song.avi",
So i can't see name of movie/song if playlist window is not shuch spreaded
and video is too small if playlist if too much spreaded.

gnome-mplayer can also remember ratio between video and playlist "windows",
because now i have to readjust it each time manually.

Thanks for cool software, i hope this will replace totem in gnome in the
future.

The "stream for blah" is shown when the metadata cannot be reliably retrieved
from
the media.. Always happens this way with streaming media.

So you have a feature request to remember the window locations.

Gnome-mplayer will never replace totem due to licensing issues with mplayer.
But you
can always add it on.

kdekorte:
1.) and please can you add setting to show filenames instead of id3s? i hate
id3 tags
and similar stuff. and another option should replace displaying of full url
with only
filename. so change
http://foo/bar/baz.mp3
to
baz.mp3
i will apreciate that lot. thx ;)

2.) it should still replace totem in few mainstream distributions ;)
because of good firefox plugin (when it will eat bit less of cpu cycles)

Filenames can be seen in the tool tip when hovering over the file in the
playlist

When media is coming from a website, it is better to show the entire url, as
normally
the last part is a mess.

Well that is up to the distribution.

Sorry, but i am not really sure that something changed. i have v0.9.7 (latest)
and
size of playlist "subwindow" is still not saved during close (only size of
whole
window is saved).

I still really think that it should be nice to have feature which will limit
playlist
items to just something like some-audio_file.mp3 without needing to know in
what
directory or server it is. At least you can supply some kind of possibility to
specify my own formating string. (%d = directory, %f = filename, %e =
extension, %s =
server, %u = URL, etc...)

THX
