Touchegg only detects 2 finger movement / tapping on Ubuntu 11.10 #107

If I start touchegg in a terminal I only get to see event updates for 2-finger
actions. Anything with more fingers is ignored or caught by the default for
handling the mousepad (3 fingers makes the window move).

Hi! Are you using Unity?

By default, Unity blocks the gestures with 3 and 4 fingers making impossible to
other applications to get it :S

Other option is that your trackpad support only gestures with 2 fingers

Greetings!

Yes I am using Unity. Is there a way to combine Unity and touchegg? Because I
really like the Unity graphic style and the touchegg possibilities. Since
multitouch was promoted on this laptop for windows, I know it supports
multitouch.

No for the moment, is a desing desicion of the Unity team :( Anyway you can use
gestures with 2 and five fingers with Touhégg and use the defaults with 3 and
4 of Unity... I hope that in the future would be possible disable Unity gesture
collector
