Hi!!

* Disable trackpad when typing, useful for laptops.

I think that you can active this option in the synaptics configuration, in KDE
with synapticks, in GNOME with gpointing-device-settings

* Scrolling with inertia

Touchégg includes a scroll option because in some apps is impossible make it
with the synaptics scroll (I hope that Oneiric solve this problem) But, you can
disable the Touchégg scroll and use synaptics scroll, that have inertia ;)

Thanks José. Let me know if I should take this discussion elsewhere since it's
not a bug.

Since I installed touchegg per the instructions in your google groups site, I
don't have a "touchpad" tab in the mouse preferences app. I assumed touchegg
took over the touchmad management completely from synaptics. How do I get it
back? Also, the configuration settings I change with gpointing-device-settings
have no effect. Looks like synaptic is not running? (is that even possible, I'm
ignorant and confused :P)

I'm on a macbook pro, gnome and ubuntu studio 11.04.
Salú!

Hi!!

No, no problem, this bugtracker is used to discussions/questions too ;)

> Looks like synaptic is not running?

No, this is not possible, synaptics is a driver, if your trackpad works you are
using synaptics (You must have installed the xserver-xorg-input-synaptics
package)

Try to kill Touchégg ($ killall -9 touchegg) and test the
gpointing-device-settings options. If you are capturing gestures with 2 fingers
with Touchégg the scroll won't work

If all works as you hope reconfigure Touchégg to adapt it to this options ;)

Greetings!
