Audio feedback for speed or distance #219

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

People who use their phones while working out are interested to get live
feedback while they go. Issue #128 "Race against self (previous track/time)"
asks to import previously collected data as a benchmark. However that's only
useful for a special cases (same track, previous data available).

Why not let the user choose a target speed or distance/time and provide audible
feedback if the target is not met. (Play a sound if moving to slow/fast)

Have you tried the announcements? That sounds like what you are looking for.

@sanddornbush You are right, the text announcements provide the information I
want, but they do not "sound" like what I am looking for. I was thinking about
something like low pitch tones for too slow and high pitch for too fast.

The text-to-speech is somewhat mechanic and does not provide an
easy-to-understand instant feedback.
