Sensor status should work without recording a track #227

Currently the sensor status screen shows "DISCONNECTED" when I open it up
without recording a track. Obviously no attempt is made to connecto to the
sensor (heart rate monitor device).

It would be great if

- as soon as I open "sensor status", the app would try to connect to the sensor
- and meanwhile give information that it does so, e.g. "looking for
sensors...", "connecting to <sensor>" ...

If this is not possible, a quick win would be to show additional info on that
screen, if no track is currently recorded, saying "Please start recording a
track".

By the way, in the current German release the displayed status is "NONE"
instead of "DISCONNECTED".

I still consider this a usability problem. Since this is currently marked as
Work-Large, let me propose a quick fix: How about we display a label or a toast
in the Sensor Status screen? It should say "Please start recording a track to
see Sensor Status." Of course, this should only be displayed if no track is
recorded.

What do you think?
