What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. By default, the margins are specified in the documentclass
2. Add \usepackage{showframe} in the preamble
3. Marginpar shows up, plus the posterbox content appear to be shifted to the
right compared to the content frame shown by showframe
I would expect to correct this horizontal offset. I tried to locate it, but it
seems it doesn't come from the geometry definition.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
