Why it's important: https://github.com/rollup/rollup/wiki/pkg.module Other improvements:

Vows replaced by mocha
ES6 source code
standard code style guarded by eslint
es5 checks for output bundles
removed all legacy polyfills
rollup bundler instead of browserify
sprout.min.js size reduced to 1840 bytes from 4370!! More than 2 times! Thanks to rollup bundler and no legacy polyfills anymore.
