opens a large number of Warning windows without content if GPSD is not running

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. ensure that gpsd is not running
2. start monav

What is the expected output? 

monav starts

What do you see instead?

monav opens a huge number of warning windows with no content.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

this is monav 0.3-4 on debian unstable on amd64.

Thanks for the bug report, I'll look into it.

However this feature should not be in 0.3 stable nor 0.3.1... it's currently 
only in the 0.4 unstable version. I will have a look at the Debian builds, 
maybe they included this feature deliberately.

./patches/06-implement_gpsd_interface.patch

sent it to debian.
