Test Case: Testing the new AppStudio Player #7

This test is to explore the new look and feel of Player and to verify that with the re-designed version of Player all the features work as expected.

Steps to follow:

  1. Download and install the latest version of Player either from Google Play store for Android or from TestFlight for iOS.
  2. Create a Sample or Template app from AppStudio Desktop. If you already have an app created with AppStudio, you can use that app for testing on Player.
  3. Open Player and sign in with your ArcGIS Online credentials.
  4. Search for the app you created and download it in Player.
  5. On the Home page, select any of your apps to display the App Details page and confirm that the details are displayed correctly.
  6. Run the app to confirm that it works as expected.
  7. In Player, go to the Diagnostics Page and confirm that it displays your device details correctly.
  8. Go to the Explore page, preview some of the samples listed randomly and confirm that there are no errors encountered while running them.
  9. Update the version of your app in AppStudio Desktop. Then go to the Update page in Player. It should show that there is an update available for your app.
  10. Download the app from the Update page and then confirm in the App Details that the latest version got updated correctly.

I think it would be better if the user directed to previous page he/she opened when he/she press the back button on their phone, instead of exit the player app

:heavy_check_mark: My device details in the Diagnostics Page displays correctly.

 There are no errors while running random apps in the Explore page. However, the back button on Android cannot be used to go back to the main page.

 I can send an update from desktop to the Player App on mobile. However, sometimes there is an error in desktop that my AGOL organization does not have a AppStudio Standard License. However, I do have the license. Restarting the desktop app seems to be a feasible workaround for the time being.

:heavy_check_mark: The app can be updated without any issues.

@naufalihsan18 thanks for the feedback. We have already started working on this and it should get fixed within a day or two.

@kanins Thanks for the detailed feedback. There seems to be some issues with AGOL today and I faced the same behavior some time back today with my AppStudio Standard License. However, it got fixed for me by signing out and singing in again. Please let know if you still keep facing this and we will investigate it further.

@anshuman-mathur Thank you for your response. I tried uploading another app and was able to do without any license-related issues. So I think it's working fine now. Thanks!
