Failure to connect to db after installation

1.Installed component
2.Configured component using default options and saved
3.Click on continue to control panel
result :-
MySQL Error
db_unable_to_connect

Expected > glossword control panel
Instead > MySQL error

= What version of the product are you using?
Joomla 1.5.18
Glossword - 1.9.3.1 Component

Same issue on my installation
- PHP 5.1.6
- JOOMLA 1.5.22
- MySQL 5.0.95
- glossword-1.9.3.1

I fulfill "Configure component" form and obtain 

"Settings saved. Continue to Control Panel."

I click on "Control Panel" link and obtain

MySQL Error
db_unable_to_connect

could you please explain how to solve this problem?
