[PR #8908/e7ccbc2f backport][stable-9] Add gitlab group params #8981

This is a backport of PR #8908 as merged into main (e7ccbc2f18641047625aa360f6863e203aebde8b).

SUMMARY

Add many new gitlab group params. Of the few that have not been added, it's only because I could not fully test them for the time being.

I've also simplified a bit of redundancy in the code.
