Ecosystem page limiting content

Hello, As https://docs.ansible.com/ecosystem.html AFAIK is gonna live on the community website, I'd like to raise a question about limiting the number of projects listed on that page. I examined all of them (docsites + repos) in December but a few others were added after that.

Here are some points:

Now there are tens of projects w/o any grouping. I suggested restructuring the page in https://github.com/ansible-community/community-website/issues/366 which can improve the situation by grouping projects into several categories but it doesn't solve the number-of-projects issue.
Some of the projects are created, developed and maintained by a few redhatters who are probably their only users.
I don't think if a project lives under the ansible org or any other official org it's considered OK to be on the ecosystem page. There are also interesting project not by RH and we can't afford to have them all on that page.
It's important to keep the ecosystem page concise not including projects automatically, otherwise it can intimidate visitors or make it too hard for them to find what they can be interested in / what they really need.
I think they should be carefully selected maybe using some formal criteria that we should develop.
Another solution can be to select some project for the ecosystem page and put a link in there to another page with an index of all the projects.

@Andersson007 How about we split this into two issues? The first has to do more with the visual organization of the ecosystem page. We can add some headings with categorical names and group projects.

The second issue has to do more with inclusion criteria and ties into the governance piece that @GregSutcliffe has been looking at.

Edit: NVM it seems you've already done this. I saw #366 after I wrote this comment.

Agree with @oraNod's comment. This issue depends on developing a governance model on 'what is an Ansible project'

I'll close this one in favor of https://github.com/ansible-community/community-website/issues/366 for now as the Gov epic doesn't promise to be easy and fast. Grouping should help at this stage. I'll keep this "gating" in mind to reopen/raise another issue later.
