Please have a look here https://github.com/redhat-cop/infra-ansible/tree/main/roles/ansible/tower In my opinion, any manage- and potentially some config- roles too could become a CRD on itself. I also created an issue there https://github.com/ansible/awx-operator/issues/700 prior I discover the install and config were decoupled.
