Hello! I am an employee of the US government, and my team uses Ansible heavily. In using software-as-a-service like Galaxy, Uncle Sam looks for a Terms of Service, specifically one that is "federal-compatible":

https://www.digitalgov.gov/resources/federal-compatible-terms-of-service-agreements/

Wondering if that's something that's been considered at all. Thanks!

Hi @afeld. This isn't something we have the bandwidth to explore -- and honestly, I'm not sure that you necessarily want to be relying on Galaxy roles without further audit anyway. These are community roles, after all.

Since all Galaxy roles actually live on Github, one possibility is to use the Galaxy website to find roles that are to your liking, and then if you want to consume them directly, have the Galaxy client download them directly from Github.

On further examination of some of the ToSes quoted, they don't look onerous. We'll keep it on the list. May not happen soon, but will keep it open.
