It's worth putting a note that VSCode expects you to complete the external sign-on sequence within 60 seconds, which is rather quick. If you get distracted (or struggle with typing your password, in the absence of a password manager...) the VSCode side will time out and you'll have to click "Connect" again to repeat the process.
